Audiobook Review: Even White Trash Zombies Get the Blues by Diana Rowland

This series continues to be a fun Urban Fantasy. Despite the mention of zombies, I still hold that this is in no way horror. Everything about being a zombie is presented in more of a humorous way rather than a eery, creepy or scary way. Don’t get me wrong, there is some tension and suspense, but nothing I would ever consider reminiscent of a ¬†horror book. Which is¬†perfectly fine, because it is obviously not trying to be that. I just know some readers hear “zombie” and think “horror”. Nope, not the case here. Angel continues adjusting her life as needed after becoming a zombie. Keeping brain smoothies and rations readily available to keep her body from rotting and falling apart. It also comes in handy for unexpected injuries, because evidently when you’re a zombie, you can never be sure when you might be shot, stabbed or otherwise violently injured. Angel goes through it all with her snarky, sarcastic commentary keeping even the hardest scenes upbeat and amusing.
