Friday Firsts – Mirror Image by Michael Scott and Melanie Ruth Rose
Friday Firsts is a new meme that will run every Friday here on Tenacious Reader. It will feature the first few sentences/paragraph of my current book and my first impressions as well. It’s meant to be a quick and easy way to share a bit about what I am reading, and I would love to hear others join in sharing their current reads as well.Mirror Image: A Novel by Michael Scott, Melanie Ruth Rose

The mirror stood seven foot tall, four foot wide, the glass dirty and speckled, warped so that the images it showed were slightly distorted and blurred. It was grotesque.
And Jonathon Frazer knew he had to have it.
He stood at the back of the small crowd in the foul-smelling auction room and waited impatiently while the bored auctioneer made his way through the catalogue of the Property of a Gentleman.

My First Impressions
Wow, this book gets of to a creepy and deadly start. Loving it from the beginning. The pace is good, and most importantly, I want to know what on earth is going on? What is the deal with this mirror? And umm… is the death toll going to continue at this pace? (yeah, hope that no one considers that a spoiler…)
What are you reading right now? Did it start out strong? Feel free to share in the comments, and also feel free to link up!

Wow, that really is a creepy start! I’ve been in a horror mood lately, so I may have to check this one out – I hadn’t even heard of this title before now!
